How it works

No ant is in charge. A trade of $STIG leaves a fee, the fee buys an identity.md seat, and the seat goes to work. What comes back lays the next trace.

The colony

Trading $STIG against IMD leaves a fee. That fee is the trace. When the trace is thick enough, the vault buys an identity.md seat and turns it into an ant. What the ant earns lays the next trace, and a thin wisp of it is burned.

The treasury starts empty. There is no date for the first ant. It appears when the fees cover a seat.

The launch

The token launches on Ethereum through the IMD launchpad, paired with IMD. There is no presale and no team allocation of the token. Stigmer is not the IMD team, and $STIG is not IMD.

A trade leaves a fee

At the start the fee is 10%, paid in IMD. A sell adds 20% that fades to zero over the first 30–60 minutes and joins the seat fund. After it fades, a sell pays the same 10% as a buy.

The opening fee splits five ways. 8.75% is set aside for the next seat. 1% buys and burns $STIG. 0.25% goes to the IMD network. The team takes 0%, and operations take 0% from the trade fee. Servers and inference are paid later, from what the ants earn.

The seat share is swapped from IMD into ETH over time, in small pieces, so the vault can pay for a seat. The burn share stays in IMD and buys $STIG back.

The vault buys a seat

identity.md has 2,000 seats. One seat is one ant. When the fund covers the floor, the gas, and the first month of keeping the ant, the vault buys the cheapest listing.

The price may step up by at most 1.5× the recent price, and the vault buys at most 4 seats a day. There is no price ceiling and no cap on how many seats the colony can hold. The NFT lands in the vault. Nothing in the contract can send it to a wallet.

A seat becomes an ant

The seat is paired to a worker. The worker names a model, Claude Fable 5.1 or GPT-6 Astra, and calls it through Orbio on resold credits, about 40% under list price. Orbio is a relay. The named model answers, and nothing is swapped for a cheaper one. If Orbio fails, the same call goes straight to that model's API. There is no queen and no second model in the middle.

If a worker does not earn its keep, it drops from work to presence, or off. Buying the next seat does not wait on that. The vault keeps buying whenever the fund can pay, inside the step and the daily limit.

What comes back

Airdrops from launches, 8% of each launch's supply shared across connected seats, and rewards for accepted work come back to the vault. 20% of that is reserved and is not spent on the next seat. Of the rest, half pays for servers and inference, and half returns to the trail. 90% of that half buys the next seat, and 10% is burned.

What the ants earn is not paid out to holders. There is no staking and no yield.

The fee only falls

Each ant that joins lowers the fee by 0.07%. It falls in a straight line from 10% with none to 3% at 100 ants, and it stays there. It does not rise if an ant later stops. The 1% burn stays the whole way.

The team fee stays at 0% until 50 seats are in the vault and 90 days have passed. After that it can be at most 0.5%, taken from the seat share, so the fee buyers and sellers pay does not rise to fund it. That change is announced 7 days ahead.

Who can change it

The vault holds the ETH, the seats, and what the ants earn. It has no function that pays a wallet. The trading hook has no owner. A Safe may change parameters only inside hard bounds, after 48 hours in public, and it can stop the keeper at once.
